Online Cricket: Lonwabo Tsotsobe pushes South Acrica to #1!

Debutant Tsotsobe made Austraila toil under Perth's sun to take his team home with Test and one day trophies along with the No. 1 oneday status. His figures of 4 for 50 from his alloted quota made the difference. He took two wickets at top order and 2 in middle order. Now officially South Africa declared as No. 1 one day team. If SA can win the test in return series starting on 26 Feb they will be ranked in the top spot in tests also. Austraila were set with a siff target of 289 to save themselves from losing the top spot in oneday rankings, but they were rounded off for 249 to lose onday series with 1-4! to SA. Amla was declared the Player of the Match and JA Morkel for the series.

Price spins Bangladesh for victory

Veteran spinner Raymond Price of Zimbabwe showed allround performance to see his team's victory, which in turn earned the man of the match prize. He recorded his careers best figures of 4-22 and hammered two 4's in last over in which 6 runs are needed from 6 balls. Zimbabwe has gone 1-0 up in 3 match series in Mirpur. Bangladesh fought well to defend their 3rd lowest score against them but lost the temperment and allowed the bottom half batsmen to settle the game.

DA Warner innings gave win for Australia

An innings of 89 form 43 balls from Warner of Australia gave his team win in first Twenty20 match against South Africa, for which he won the Man of the Match award. He blazed against the SA bowlers right from the word go with out any even first class experience. In reply to the target of 182, SA started horribly by losing early wickets, but in middle Duminy stabilized with superb innings but ran out of partners to see his team home.

Hayden over looked for CB Series w.r.t. future

Hayden was dropped for Twenty20 and CB Series against South Africa. Australia announced the squads for both formats of the game stating "We are moving on," and added "There is no doubt our advance plans were for Matthew to go through to the Ashes.
